My Roles
As the project manager/ design lead, I held responsibility for both the business and design realm of the exhibition. On the business front, I handled event planning, marketing, and HR, while in the design realm, I designed graphic/visual materials, including a 95-page catalog, exhibition branding, posters, pamphlets, advertising flyers, and a commissioned website for a participating artist.
Project Description
The Mongolia & South Korea national exhibition was held in Mongolia, Ulaanbaatar to commemorate the 30-year national relationship between the two countries. One artist from each country was invited to hold one of the biggest exhibitions at the National Museum of Mongolia.
Mongolia & SouthKorea National Anniversary Exhibition
Things I was commissioned as a UIUX designer.
As a UIUX designer, I was commissioned to design various visual materials for the exhibition including posters, catalogs, advertisement flyers, and more along with the exhibition curation.
I was also commissioned to design and develop a brand and a website for the Korean participating artist.
Branding
The theme of the artist's exhibiting artwork was the Journey of Life.
The artist's 50+ pieces of paintings feature black-hole-like shapes that represent the 'moments' and 'divided' journey that we humans go through.
I have come up with a brand/logo identity that could represent that theme by utilizing the sign "0=0" (zero equal zero) where the first zero represents "born" and the second zero represents "death" while the equal in the middle represents the "journey" in between. The two zeros also represent the artist's signature
black-hole-like shape featured in the collections.
Website
Designed and built the website with this brand/identity.
Focused on its modernistic, simplistic, yet profound and mystical sensation.
Wanted to pull out that hollowness of the collection yet bring in the pleasant visuals.

95 pages catalog
Designed the entire catalog from scratch.
Closely worked with a print manufacturer throughout the entire process of its 4000 copies production.
Tried to match up the overall sensation of the brand/identity represented on the website.
Modern, profound, yet mystical.
